Prior to joining MA I would have never imagined this. Speechless in the best possible way.
MP you have always had something nice to say about my attempts at modelling, all of them. This is the kind of support and appreciation that makes it worth being here, not to mention learning and watching amazing stuff coming to life from such a great pool of talent and experience - so thank you. You and other fellow MA'ers who have been so kind and supportive.

Everybody loves a good fitter/field maintenance vehicle build , ......... so I love this build .
Attention to detail and what would be in a field maintenance vehicle is very well represented and thought out .
I have one minor bitch , ........ nothing to do with the skill or paint or assembly , everything is A#1 .
This is a late war vehicle , I'm no expert and I hope I'm wrong but , later in the war , say post D-Day by a few months recognition flags on German vehicles were not used to my knowledge .
Like I said it doesn't take away from the build for me , I think the flag is very well done and the color adds to the look .
I'm just worried if you bring this to a show this might be mentioned .
Early in the war recognition flags were needed because of the rapid German advances and the huge presence of the Luftwaffe . Later in the war advertizing was death from above .
I hope you take this as armchair historian advise , like I said , love the build .
Post D-Day , an old addage from a German officer comes to mind ...........
If you see brown planes in the sky that's the British .......
If you see silver planes in the sky that's the Americans ........
If you don't see any planes in the sky that's the Luftwaffe .......

Gentlemen, I am yet again struck by the awesome comments. I said it before, I will say it again - you are all way too kind and this means more to me than I can say.
This truck was inspired by Bob's repair truck. I have long wanted to give it a go and here it is. Not finished yet, and even when it is, it won't come anywhere close to what Bob managed to put together, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it and I definitely want to do another one sometime soon, I hope.
Cheyenne - the bi*ch is spot on. I am fully aware of the flag on the bonnet on a truck that was in operation post 1943. The sad truth is that I made a complete mess of the joint between the bonnet and the radiator grille, something that could have not been fixed, hence the flag. I know it's not historically accurate and I have learnt my lesson :smack. Next one will be a lot better - promise.

I have decided that the ammo case at the rear with the lid on is not the best option. The lid has been removed and bits and pieces will be placed inside the case. Rags coming up too. 20% left on the truck, then onto the scenery. This is something of a small dio (I hope it will turn out to be) so, if you have time to spare, there will be more coming.

Small update - more weathering added to the front (mainly). Still a few spots that deserve attention though.
At the rear, I have "opened" the ammo case, placed tissue in it and some rags around the place too. Three bottles are now in the case, with labels (printed on laser decals sheet) - my second attempt at that. The trick was that I had to paint a small area with white paint to enhance the contrast, otherwise the labels would have not been visible. Some more stuff to go in the case,a pumpkin and some apples I think, all scratched using air drying clay. Hope they turn out ok :hmmm

Quick update on this one - new sides are up. Previously they looked very rough and hated them. This time round, once I weather them and make good on some minor flaws inside, I'm going to call it finished - been way too long.
