Fujimi a4-e 1/50 kit with no decals

hating to see an old kit go to waste just because I picked it up for $1.00 years ago with no decals.
Somewhere along the line i aquired a set of Esci 1/48 decals but they are for the humped back a4-m.
can anybody confirm that Vma-311 or vma214 ,had any earlier a4-e machines done in the same markings as those shown on the Esci a4-m decal sheet.
Thanks in advance
Roger Ramjet

@Roger Ramjet , it would help to see the ESCI sheet.

This is one of those rare A-4 without the humpback and WL codes.

I hope it helps (until you post an image of the ESCI sheet).

Hi Sharkmouth
Thanks for the pics, definately showed vma-214 had an earlier scooter, vma-311 decals broke up so varnished the ones left for vma-214 and went to town on the $1.00 special. The best part of the kit was the boxtop art, the box had some additional sprues possibly from an Esci 1/48 skyhawk with better bombs and two triple ejector racks and a better nosewheel. It was a bitter fight all the way. Used SMS paints mainly, mixing dark gull grey and white for light dull grey. The 1/48 Esci decals had trouble fitting the 1/50 scale fin but otherwise ok.
Result is an a-4 a/b/c/d/? but not an M.
Cheers Roger

Looks great. Unless you are a Scooter expert you would never notice if there are any faults.

Ed Heinemann would be proud!
Is the vintage Fujimi 1/50 Skyhawk a little shy on cockpit details, like so many other Fujimi kits used to be? Scalemates says this same Skyhawk kit was first tooled in 1968.

Hi Rhino
Cockpit was very bare. Used the seat from the Esci parts instead of the Fujimi one supplied , probably had a decal for instrument panel and I used the decal from the available Esci sheet.l.Kit did supply a joystick. Good enough for its time I suppose,
cheers Roger

While still on the subject of Skyhawks found this pic while cleaning up an old 2tb drive.
Think it is an esci kit and decals I picked up at an IPMS swap meet possibly 30 years ago which would explain why I had a spare Esci decal sheet for the above build
Cheers to all who replied

Surprisingly, I have no more A-4 Skyhawks as one was built as a Kuwaiti A-4K for a collector and the other, an A-4M, went to Poland. That doesn't mean I shouldn't have a few in my collection:
