Initially developed to be a Tank Destroyer, by the Tank Destroyer Command, the Ford M8 (known to the British as the Greyhound) was the only wheeled armoured car to be used by the US Armoured force in WW2.
An M8 armoured car from Troop B, of the 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron is credited with knocking out a Tiger I during the Battle for St. Vith during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. The M8 fired three 37 mm rounds into the rear armor of the Tiger from 25 yd (23 m), setting it on fire.
This is the 1/72nd Italeri kit, built OOB.
