For Grins and Giggles, are you tired of the cloth masks?

I'm sure tired of them! I can't breathe in them!

That one does look interesting; I think that would be fun to wear around.

That's a good one! Work requires us to wear them when dealing with the public, which I don't have any contact with the public. All of our work is inter-agency. The wife has to wear one when she goes to her office at the hospital.

I am lucky in that I don't need to wear one mostly as I am not working with the public. The sales people out front all have to, and I have to if I go out to the front.

Well, the rules have changed at work. Seems that the administration building downtown has had an outbreak. Louisiana has had a spike from the younger crowd going to the bars when they re-opened. We have to wear one whenever we are around co-workers in an office setting. For me, that's just when I bring a work order to my crew. Renee and I thought about getting my service dog a mask for work as a joke.

Yeah, they went to mandatory coverings for office people here at the plant at the beginning of the month. It's annoying, but certainly not worth losing the job over......especially since I can't file for unemployment right now as I found out someone was using my SSN to attempt to make fraudulent claims. So dealing with that lovely crap now.

On the upside, I think we are out of standby rotation and field work is resuming again so it shouldn't be a direct financial issue now (back to work this week).....assuming I don't run into a hiccup w/ the IRS next spring.

Well now the entire state of Louisiana is under a mask mandate because our virus numbers are spiking. It seems that some of the population really missed going to the bars and casinos during the mandatory lock down, I mean quarantine, and went and got themselves exposed while drinkin' Coronas. I don't mind wearing them now that I found a hack to keep my glasses from fogging up. Kleenex in the mask absorbs the breath. Now if we could just do something about the triple digit heat index that would be great.

This one works pretty well. It's not very comfy during warm weather. It makes me sound like James Earl Jones. Protesters don't bother me much.

I can imagine the look I would get at our morning video conference call wearing a Vader mask!

Triple-Digit Heat Index? We had that last week for 4 days... and that is probably it for the summer.

MOPP 4 is an absolute b*ll buster! My first tour in the Sandbox the powers that be, from their Air Conditioned offices, decided that we should all play in MOPP 4 for 8 hours, in the middle of the day. After one of my guys dropped, I ordered everyone into the shade. After a couple of more fell, I halted all activity.

For you A-10 enthusiasts.
Teresa found us some of these! :yipee:
I'm surprised at you Men! Nobody commented on how Darth Rhino might actually DRINK his Black Rifle coffee! :bm::lol:

Look, the essential physiology of covid-19 shows us that wearing a cloth mask to save yourself from Kung-Flu, is like putting up a chain link fence to keep mosquitoes out of your yard. The Covid-19 spore is .125 microns in diameter. To put that in perspective, the human hair is generally between 60 & 70 microns in diameter. Moreover, the warm moist materiel of a long-worn cloth mask makes a dandy medium for the Virus to propagate. Have you seen anybody walk out of the store, remove their cloth mask and wipe their face with their hands? We have. :bang head
Don't worry! Just because you have to wear a mask in The (Most notorious, big-box store), doesn't mean you have to change out of your pajamas!

Don't take my word for it. Look it up. The hysteria caused by this disease may prove deadlier than the virus itself.
Mark my words, After the November election, even Dr. Tony Fauci will admit they still don't know shit about this virus. That Influenza A is more a threat than covid-19 ever was. The newest line of CDC bullschtein suggests that your blood type may have an effect on how susceptible you may be to CC Virus. YGBSM! :ph:You O+ people are Good To Go!
Hang in there, My Friends. This too, shall pass.

Then, on a lighter note;
