Re: DOUBT...update,JAN.1ST -THE SMOCK-"THE GUN"...

Dear...DAVE,Frank,Joe,Ron and panzerace...thanks a lot for the very motivating words...very appreciate!

...on this update I´ll show the machine guns, already painted, that will be used on my little scene...

...from left to right, the Russian PPsh 41,the German STg 44 and the Russian PPD 40...it´s interesting to

note that the PPD 40 will be laying on the ground while the other two will be on the hands of this

Waffen SS soldier...

...after the drybrushing job done on the camo smock I noted that some harsh effects appeared on

it...these effects are very common and undesirable, so with the help of a flat brush soaked with

turpentine I removed them...now,the acamo smock is lookin better...what do you think?...

.... and a happy new year for all of you...full of modelling,of course...

Regards!

Re: DOUBT...update,DEC.29th -THE SMOCK-"AGING"...

LUIZ ,

Yeah ! I like th Guns ! Great job on th wood grain stocks. I really like th STG 44 !!

What did you use for straps ?

1 small critique - I like th fact that you washed in th folds of th jacket .... Perhaps think about another run with a wash into th folds to bring out th highlights a bit ?? ( just My $.02(USD)

Lookin Great !!

...now, one of the steps more dificult for me...painting skin tones...I did it using oils (blending tecnique),unfortunately I lost the pictures of this work on the step by step way..on my next project I´ll try acrylics...

Re: DOUBT...update,JAN 2nd -THE FACE...

LUIZ ,

I've been lookin at th Face & I have a Question : Do you thin your Oil paint ? Enquiring Minds wanna know ! :D

I've played around with it both ways - thinned & not . Just wanted to see what your take was on it.

:popcorn lookin forward to th updates !!

Re:Acessories....

Hi!

Thanks for the nice words...Andy,MP,James,Dusan,Erik,Ron,Martin and MrT...very appreciate!

[email protected] - usually, blending with oils is not advisable to thin them...on my project,I only thinned the oil paint when I was painting the eyebrows and the lips...okay?

...well, the end is near...this is one of the last updates before the final assembly...let´s go...

...THE BOOTS...

...THE LUGER PISTOL HOLSTER...

...THE CANTEEN...

...THE BREAD BAG...

...THE MESS TIN...

...THE STG44 MAGAZINE POUCHES...

...the best moments to work on my projects are when my little John is... :zen

Regards for all!

Luiz.

Re:Acessories....

Beautiful Luiz! My favorites are the boots and the holster. Have you used oils on these? Or are they acrylic...or both?

Soon we will see the whole figure!!
