Re: DOUBT...update,DEC.14 - REFERENCES/PLANING....

Hi Luiz

Hah, I have all the same books, except for one. Good references are so important when doing German camo.

I hope you go into detail when using the Vallejos, as I am having no luck at all with them.

Re: DOUBT...update,DEC.16th-airbrushing....

Dear MP,Joe and Tom...very nice considerations...thanks...

...all the components were primed,look...

...usually,whenever possible,I made use of my airbrush for better results...except for the face and the machine guns, that were painted with Humbrol...all other paints that wiil be used on this project will be Vallejo acrylics...

...Humbrol metallic coat for the guns...

...the use of the Hair Spray Technique on the cook pot...look the sequence...

....the next steps I´ll use only handpainting procedures...

..see you there!

Re: DOUBT...update,DEC.18th - Trousers....

Thanks for the support Bagge and MP...

...now,painting the trousers and the helmet...

...first of all , coats of filters...

...the next step, fadding with oils, applied inside the folds...

...now,washing with oil (raw umber),applied on strategic points...

...a subtle drybrushing with white acrylic...

...the final results...

...hope you like it...

Regards for all!

Re: DOUBT...update 24th -Painting the smock....

Dear Tony,Frank,MP,MrT and panzer...thanks a lot for the nice comments... (y)

...now the "pea pattern" on the smock...first of all,as training pourposes I painted this camo scheme (very complex) over a piece of a playing card...look the sequence...the pics tell all the story...hope you enjoy it...

...now,this squeme applied on the figure itself...note that is MISSING the aging or weathering effects (the same that I used on the trousers) ,such as :

-filters,
-fading,
-washing,
-drybrushing; look....

...hope you like this update...and MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR for all my friends of this modelling comunity!
