It is a very small Plane but it was the first to lead to the Me 163 and one of many Alexander Lippisch ideas and constructions.

The PM ist a very simple model and sure not the best and for me it was just something in between. The canopy does not look good, but I didn't want to do an new one, so it is now as it is.

Nice work on a kit from a company known to be ... let me be tactful... challenging! I have a few PM Models, used as conversions though.

Thanks! Well I've done MasterCraft, Mach 2 and others, so PM is'nt worse than those. with this I should hve done a new Canopy ...

I am familiar with all those brands and Mach 2 was among the worst indeed. As I wrote, the PM Models were used for conversions since they have unique subjects, the plastic is thick enough to sand and fit newer/better kits.

Regards,

You think Mach 2 is bad; try Maquette! Those are so bad; you just ptu the series of plastic blobs together and then use a hammer and chisel and a belt sander to carve and shape the model from the final block of plastic!

Ask me how I know....

Maquette rarely had their own molds... their T-34 series wasn't anywhere near as bad as Mach 2. Remember, that French company named it Mach 2 since that is the speed one tries to reach when hurling that POS at a brick wall! POS - Piece of Styrene.

Which Maquette kit gave you fits?

Which one didn't?

I've built two and they were both quite the challenge:

A Russian Ka-60 (Russian 'Dauphin') which I surprisingly don't have pics for, and this one:

US C-75 Stratoliner:

That one had the Himilayas all across the dorsal spine, I kid you not! They didn't even include enough clear squares for the windows so I made them out of Testor's Clear Parts Glue.
