I'm calling this one finished. I had a blast painting and weathering it. I will do a small base such as the one in the photos. I plan to include a fig or two for reference.

This base belongs to the PzIII but you get the idea.

With the big brothers.

Thank you all!

I found myself in a comfortable place with my builds and yet believed they were lacking something. I took a leap of faith so to speak and began using new techniques. This and the previous M4A3 105 are the result.

On top of it all I had fun!

Here's the base I came up with.

How about some black and white pics?

Thank you all for your support.

Mark I read my new Tank Art books and realized my builds lacked what I'll call "dimension". I felt that I could add to the sense of mass by adding tonal variation to the finishes. It would accomplish this as well as depict weathering to the surcae.

I just used dabs of oils and a lot of patience as I built up layers of color.

I tried to accent panels and hatches as well as high traffic areas.

Bingo. We see that so often in whatever we're working on, be it armor, aircraft, figures, what have you.

Looking good G (y)

Stunning paint and weathering. Excellent work.

Your group photo is like a countdown, you just need a 'II'.

Mark it was just a matter of taking that first step. :eek:hmy:

Ausf, I have built a II, but it was my first armor build in 20 years. I want to do another before I post.

I raided my stash and added a figure who's pose, I think, suits the mood.

This a figure from Master Box painted with Vallejo acrylic and a smattering of oils.
