I went looking for some color D-Day photo's and this is what I found. Most are from Life magazine.

given the lack of unit markings and the corrected colour i would say this is a PR blue mossie.

When i then downloaded the picture i see its titled

"Hatfield_built_Mosquito_PR_Mk_XVI_NS777_in_PR_Blue_and_D_Day_invasion_stripes_" sort of gives the game awy :)
