Comments on posts?

My posting from work is now through my phone (which works well enough no wi-fi for the tablet)

Pretty much hate FB, nuff said. Learn more and get better, more intelligent responces and advice here than all of that other place.

While I do post on Fine Scale forum and finally posted my Arizona build to the ship modelers forum, this is home and a safe place.

I can understand that fb is not the best but if i post something i mostly get friendly responses and not all that bs, guess its up to who you are befriended with :)
Have many friends there that are here on MA too and a lot of other friends that i met on shows and chatted with there.

I usually try to look at all the things here on MA ... I love this forum and most of you guys :woohoo: :rotf (y) ... I've just been busy taking care of Mom ... I missed some campaign finishes ... It's been a rough year for Me. it started with Ed's sudden departure from this globe, then I went to Eagle Quest ... with what I thought was a great entry ... only to get to the registration desk 4 minutes too late. well the truck started acting up ... still up on 3 wheels ... No oil pressure. Mom went in the hospital in August ... dementia is a very sad disease ... she's forgotten how to eat ... then I had the water tower commission build, which turned into building two 2X4' modules for the train show. :( on Facebook I'm on there to help promote my Hobby shop ... So I've sit down and started some new kits ... need to finish the ones I started ... think I'll do that tonight ... like I say it's been a busy nonproductive year ... I hope to change that soon ...

Y'all keep doing what you do I'll be back at it soon ... :salute (y) :woohoo:

I rarely spend time on the computer at home. Takes up modeling time. While at work I have a few chances between patients to have a look see. If I don't respond to some post is because if the pics are posted from photobucket or pintrest ect, those types of pics are blocked and I can't see them. I have never used Fakebook either. This is a great forum. Better than most. If someone looks at my work and leaves a thumbs up that's good. Comments are nice though. At least it gets a look and acknowledgement. Gary :good:

We all have times in our life when we must take care of ourselfs and our family, and that goes before anything else!
But we always come back to the hobby we all love and that's a great thing, no stress or pressure to always have something new to show, it will come :drinks take care :zen

I check in here every morning, I usually scan the entire forum but generally only read posts that catch my interest. Its a time thing and I must admit that I occasionally miss some great builds initially but if I see they are getting a lot of responses I usually check them out later. There are some topics I just never check whether there are are new posts listed or not. Just beat me, it's a time thing !

Something I have noticed on other forums is that more people are looking than posting. I keep some track of the mumber of views as well as the posts. A few good posts with a LOT of views are a nice thing.

One of the most complementary post I ever received was on another forum and it started out "I was told that I needed to check this out." It went on with positive comments and some helpful information about the subject being built. That is the good stuff we all want.

Hope you all have a great day! (y)

Hey guys, remember it just takes one mouse click to do this: (y)
If you like something why not do that tiny little bit of effort?...I know from myself that I do appreciate that,
even if it's not so elaborated. :idonno

Hi Ron. I tend to agree with these comments.

One, the more time I spend looking and commenting on builds, the less time I have to glue plastic.

Your knowledge of a lot of items that you have is far greater than mine, so all I can comment on is whether I think it looks real or not .

Sometime I see things contrary to what I imagine it would look but I say nothing because my opinion does not necessarily make it wrong. Again, you may have more knowledge than I

Lastly, if I can tell that its truly wrong I must decide how to treat you. A lot of people don't take criticism well. Surely don't want to offend you in front of your friend...

One more thing . if after several attempts at correcting what is wrong and you ignore me , I'll quit posting.

If your builds are not in my field of interest, I'm not likely to post either . Does not make it bad . Just not my taste.

Cheers,Christian B)

Good discussion.
Many of the points of discussion have crossed my mind as well.
I'm glad that your all felt it worth your time to weigh in.
I like the community here, and I want it to continue.

Keep building and posting.

cheers!
