Forty aircraft (Spitfires, Hurricanes & Blenhiems) took off from Goodwood, West Sussex at 1400 BST and dispersed to conduct flypasts over the cities, towns and airfields of Southern England that were involved in the Battle of Britain. Battle of Britain pilot Wg Cmdr Tom Neil (95 years old) was in the lead two seat Spitfire. Aprroximately 30 of "The Few" are still alive today.

A memorial service was held earlier at St. Paul's Cathedral.

Cheers,
Rich
