Another painting question

So I am going to prime a German Grey vehicle in Valejo German Grey primer. I have the AK German Grey weathering set. My question is should I paint over the primer with a lighter shade of German Grey or just use the AK set over the primer? I have Tamiya and Valejo paints to choose from if it is suggested I paint. Thoughts??

JAMES ,

I'm working on a Kubelwagon & I shot th interior with Vallejo's Panzer Grey Primer. I then came back with th Model Air German Grey lightened a bit with German Camo Beige ( I used this instead of white, as it won't bleach out th color) & I think it worked out fine ! I just shot th Model Air from above ( on a 90 degree angle to th model & didn't try to get it in all of th nooks & crannies) & the German Grey Primer left a nice pre-shade look ! Sorry I have no pix yet , but when I post I'll let you know.

Try it ... you just may Dig it !!

Hiya James! I did something like what you describe on my Face It StuG IV, starting here.

I added the highlights and such right over the primer base coat, turned out pretty OK, I think. :idonno
