Airfix 1/24 Spitfire Mk VIII

I put the 229 back in the box because I wanted to be able to actually have time to work on it, since it is a fairly involved kit. So, in the meantime, I started this big spitfire kit. This is the first Airfix kit that I have got this far with. No unfixable issues and the only seam that I find is on the front of the fuselage, but it isn't anything that some filler won't take care of, in this case it is very minuscule. The seat belts and the ip are the only a.m. that I used. I am very happy so far. AS for the scheme, I am going with the Grey Nurse scheme that is provided for in the kit. I am thinking of painting the roundels and if I can work out the numerology, those as well.

Looking good Paul, Its a well thought out kit from Airfix, i just couldn't hook up with it and actually preferred the early 1970s version but then i always regard the Mk1 as the definitive spitfire.
