Adventures in soldering: The Rat Rod Wrecker

Get out of town, Randy- that can't be for real!! I've recently fallen in love with soldering- and you're now officially a hero to me. Picking that Mad Max brute for a subject is pretty ballsy- you are Da Man!

The steering box is a little over scale when you compare it to the real thing but part will be tucked up into the firewall so I think it will look okay.

It does work smoothly, so far without the tires on.
That is all for now,

Randy

The mad scientist is definitely on a roll, continue raising the bar, Randy! Jaw dropping, it is! (y)

I'm totally disappointed that you didn't scratch build the steering wheel....:mpup

This is fantastic Randy! Are you working off any plans, drawings?

Thanks Jeff, gotta a question for you, my mopar 440 distributor has what I believe is a vacum advance line(?) that runs from it to the ? Carb or manifold maybe??

Randy the vacuum line will run from the distributor to the carb base. I'll look for a photo or two for ya.

BTW you are doing AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :notworthy :notworthy (y)

Here are some photos.

First, the carb on the right has a vacuum port on the base plate

Second, is a carb with a vacuum port in the front meter plate (right side)
