I figure that since I did a 1/72 P-40, I may as well do another! I checked my decals and I have the same markings in 1/48. Let the painting begin.
 
Arrgh! I discovered that my kit does not include a canopy sprue. MRC was friendly, but they don't carry the kit, so won't ask Academy to replace it. I emailed Academy. Meanwhile, I'll work on something different and equally easy: Monogram 1/48 Bf109G. Get some great deals from MMP for it.
 
Well, it won't be the simple Monogram 109... fit was terrible and there was some serious warping going on. Hmmm... I have a 109F and Romanian decals... Time to have fun... I hope
