A simple SBS of sculpting a Rev War drummer

Hey Joe
Good on you for posting this. It gives a clear insight to the basic methods involved in sculpting a figure, and may help to shed the inhibitions some have in regards to putty.

Joe has a way of making it look simple. One nice thing about the discussion button having to reset is it bumped a lot of great articles back to the foreground.

Hello Joe (or anyone else who reads this)

I recently started a little sculpting myself as a complete newbie.
Now I have some basic questions.
How do you get the surfaces so smooth and even ?
Mine is alway covered with small pits, hooks etc.
Too wet? Too dry ? Always sticks to anything that touches it, even wet.
What tools do you use ?
Right now Im using Andrea sculpt, I heard its good enough to start with, this Aves stuff is not around here (Netherlands).

Thanks ahead for all help :)

Hey Joe,

Where you been hiding?

Knowing you, you have to have something new to show us.

Willem, I do a little sculpting. I use Milliput from England, well, really Wales. I keep a jar of water near and use a wet sable brush to smooth out the pits and hooks.
