A friend dropped off this pile of AMT Star Trek kits and I know nothing about the genre. What should I do with them? Are people fighting over any of them?

Looks like they are all still in shrink wrap.

If you do Facebook, the Scale Model Graveyard is a good place to get rid of them for good prices
 
There is also a Star Trek model space on Facebook that might get a better response.
There are also some Model Starship groups on FB, but most you have to join in order to post.
