Good evening everyone;
Seeing as I am very new here, I thought I'd share a small bit of my work.
I must confess up front that I am a dedicated 1/48th armor builder, and I realize that this makes me a bit of a rare cat. I do, however, believe that 48th kits can be just as detailed and fun as any others.
Here are a few pics of a project that I recently completed, it's the Tamiya IC Firefly. As you can see, I added a few modest additions, but what I wanted to do on this build was to try my very first attempt at making home-made hessian netting, found often on ETO British Shermans.
After many experiments, this is what I came up with:
...And here is the finished model:
My newest, this is a British Sherman II (M4A1), modelled for Operation "Supercharge", the second battle of El Alamein, November 1942.
The model is only in it's base colors at the moment, as i am still waiting for decals to arrive...
That's it for now.
Any feedback, or critiques, are more than welcomed, and I thank you all in advance for taking the time to look.
Cheers All; Pat
