2014 Region 5 IPMS Regional Show

My Sweetie ad I went to Kansas City, for the Region 5 regional show, which, oddly enough followed the National Contest. Not that I care so much. I love a Model Show! I took a few pict's but these in no way represent an overview, or report. I just snapped models I thought were nifty!
There was a remarkable Seaview;

I'm unsure what it's called, but it was cool.

USS Enterprise, and Botany Bay. Star Trek "Space Seed" episode. Fascinating.

Commander Jerod Booth's 1/48 Lancaster II. Jolly Good! With contrasting Tigercat Fire snuffer. Grumman!

Douglas 1/48 A-26K Counter Invader Ta-154 Moskito in the background. Ausgetziechnet!

Mr Whitey comes for his annual dental exam. 16 ft.(?) male. seeing the real thing once was plenty! :frantic

Don Joy's very nice CV-7 USS Wasp conversion! I liked it.

Ed St. Dennis made a BA-64, in 1/72 scale. Interior & engine. I suspect BA stands for "Bitty" and "Armored".

Winston Vermillia's german Motocycle 1/48. Eyes, even!

Winston converted a 1/48 kit into an SdKfz 231/4 as well.

That little Meng Kayaba was a very tidy model, indeed!

I don't know many more details, as I was going a bout my Presidential duties, and winning some nice raffle prizes. There you go!

I find "presidenting" :frantic takes up a lot of the time I might have squandered otherwise, laughing, and screwing off with more of my model friends in not-so-far flung lands. Our regional Rep. continues to ignore me, despite my election to my IPMS post. He DID have an awful lot on his plate, and I am devoid of pride. IPMS does have many "personalities", and I wonder if that's what makes National members less than popular with the un-annointed. Izzet sent me the wheels for my ReHab F-8, and I'm painting tonite! YIPPEE!
