Another year has come to a close and I know we all are in shock that the Mayans were wrong, so lets share what we have been able to accomplish this year.

Can't remember what I got finished really,

My first full year here. Great site, Great people, I have been made really welcome so thanks to everyone. (y)

Well there's still six days left to this year.

I never was concerned about the mistaken belief in the Mayan Apocalypse as I knew it was just their calendar turning over again like ours does evey 1000 years.

My biggest accomplishment this year was simply sticking around and surviving it. Christmas Day is really tough this year.

My next biggest accomplishment was in getting back to working on some long ago shelved modelling dioramas I hope to finish within the next few months. I have two 25 pounder dioramas, a L.R.D.G. diorama, an S.A.S. diorama, an circa 1948 IDF Beasts of the Negev diorama (jeeps) and a civilian truck and related stuff diorama based on the Dragon ZIS-5 truck which is a clone of the Ford truck seen in the television series The Waltons. I also have my civilian Greenland kayaks diorama to wrap up.

It's really nice to be back here with the great folks here and to be sharing model builds and ideas gain.

Cheers, Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year.

My completion for the year currently sits at a big fat goose egg. Didnt help I was down for almost 3 months b/c of a move. Got a couple builds going that I have a small chance of having done by the end of the year.

I want to edit the post but cannot get to the edit button. Anyone know how to decrease the size of the page?

Yep, use firefox. Sorry, IE just doesn't not render the page right. Best to use Firefox or even Chrome. Sorry, only answer I got G. :mpup

Hi there.

If you are using Internet Explorer you're probably out of luck. The board is set up to be used best with Firefox. I've found a few hangups with using IE for this board; page size and word wrap are two of them.

What I do sometimes is use Firefox to view and make corrections to posts with my images in them and use IE for just browsing.

Cheers

my own humble contribution to 2012.
Thanks to all for the tip and tricks. I had lots of fun and that is all that matters.

What a Great Year!

I remember building a numbr of those Tamiya kits many years ago. I like the Centurion and the Chieftain. The others look very goo too. One really neat thing about those older Monogram and Tamiya kits is how well they go together. They are also excellent kits for a modeller just getting into the hobby or the advanced modeller who wants to do extra detailing. They are also nice kits for the diorama builder who prefers a quick build kit so they can spend more time on their base and diorama scenery. Some people enjoy creating the base and scene more than building the model for it.

I hope you have at least as good a year in 2013. Tanks for sharing.

Cheers

Well you guys are a hard act to follow, but here's my contribution.

Terry, you probably told us but I don't remember... what is the purpose of the red button on the base?

Congrats to all on their completed builds. I join Adam with a fat big goose egg (but I now have a dozen).

Regards,

Very impressed with your LRDP truck MrT. I have one of those to do soon. I hope it comes out half as good as yours :)
