1940 USN Ford Ambulance

Today I got the body prepped for the finish color. I also broke out the brass tubing and sheet and scratch built a new stretcher more in scale to what it is supposed to be.

This one is all soldered.
 
Wow, Kenny- great work! That second gurney looks much more in scale- your soldering skills are really taking off- cheers!

Wow this is looking really cool.

Work gave us Veteran's Day off so I'm at the workbench. Got the frame of the stretcher finished and added the springs to the bottom of the frame. I also got the handle at the foot of the stretcher fabbed up and soldered on.

I also got the retaining bracket built, painted and installed.

Now it's time to make the mattress. I'll use Sculpey oven bake clay for that.
