Sherman 18
Master at Arms
I dug these parts out of the parts box about a year ago. I put them in a container and put that in a box out in the garage. A couple weeks aggo I moving stuff around out there and ran across it.
Last night I made the move to stick some of it together.
I have not posted anything for a while.
Not sure if this will ever be finished, but this is what happened last night. The part that counts is I had a good time doing it!
hyeah
My thought on this project was to make a '50s or early '60s look.
The base kit is Revell 1929 Pick Up kit. I went through a bunch years ago. I still feel that it is the best Model A kit ever done. The other kit I plan on using is the Revell 1937 Ford Pick Up
Pile of parts
I started with this frame. I had already cut it up.
I cut the floor out of the body and made slots on the back for the frame. Yeah it going to be channeled over the frame.
I cut the floot out of the bed.
With the frame cut up. It was time for the Z. I thought I could get away with just doing the rear... :idonno
The frame with another kit frame
Test fit the body
Testing a place for the drivetrain. I thought about using the Model A engine, but the flat head looks pretty cool there.
Time for the floor. With body channel it has to make a trans tunnel.
Yeah I made the hole to big, had to repair.
Also glued my fingers to it also. :pinch:
Test fit
Finishing the rough in
Z to the front part of the frame. With using the wheels and tires from the 37 kit I eyeballed it and thought it was to high.
More test fitting for the end of the night.

Amazing how you can take disparate parts and make something so cool out of them. Awesome man
