Wing roots always scare me, how the world you get in there and sand that stuff down?

I find steel wool works well. Takes down the putty but leaves the plastic. Also conforms well.
Something else I have had success with is the pink foam sanding sheets. Got them from Wallmart and they are about 4 inches square. They conform fairly well, but still finish with steel wool. HTH.
