Hey everyone...

This was one of my Secret Santa gifts over at SMA...don't really know much about the early German armor-- but I dived in anyways...

There were no real attachment points so everything was carefully dry-fit...but even with being careful, there was a bit of warping here and there which made things interesting...this is where I am now after most of the assembly is finished and primes...

Those rough patches on the side on the last pic aren't glue prints-- but rough areas where smaller parts are yet to be attached...thanks for looking!

Looking good so far, Mike. That seam on the muffler jumps out at me though. (y) :soldier

Coming along nicely. Here is a great site for info although it is in French. http://www.chars-francais.net/new/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=105&Itemid=36
You could use babel fish to translate though. Hope that helps.

Thanks Model Maniac for the tip!

Mike...yup...that's why I primed it...to see what really needs fixing...luckily it's just laid in there so easy fix ;)

Thanks Bob!

James...much obliged for the link...between having family in Lyon and 7 years of taking French I ought to be able to tackle that site!

Well-- I have seen some pics where there is a seam there and others where it isn't...might have to weather it up to make it look like it belongs ;)

Decided to go with a French scheme instead of boring Panzer grey....here are the first two of three colors...the green is under the masks ;)

Ought to be colorful!! Might not do too much weathering..I am French so I can joke-- they probably didn't stay in the fight long enough to get dirty ;)

Yup-- there will have to be some creativity...I was just trying to try putting one together pretty much OOB with no fuss...although I did add some decals from the spares, but now that I look at them, I don't think the yellow surrounds are accurate for the armor...was more of an aircraft thing which makes sense since that's where I go these from...and the one on the top bubble on the turret won't settle at all...grr....

I am calling this thing done mainly so I don't throw it through the wall-- as you can see, the tracks ended up way too short and not very flexible...the dude's face is a little wet still...sorry-- but it is time to move onto bigger and better things-- I did enjoy painting the scheme though!

Too bad about the tracks,Mike.
What were the people of Heller thinking when they did those. :(

I dig the camo-scheme however. (y)

Greetings,Ron.

"Tracks are a little short"

Now that's an understatement if I ever heard one. :eek:hmy:

The rest is nice enough

Thanks Ron! Well...just like me, they're French...we're both a little off! ;)

Arturius....you are too kind...but thanks! ;)

Tony...I am master of the understatement :D

I think i've got the SPG version of one of those in the stash. :hmmm

Maybe I should get it out real soon. :v
