Early M4A1... the curvy hulled one

Laura & Mike & Terry, thanks for the encouragement... James, I'm sure with my ineptitude for casting even I could churn out something useable as far as uniform items are concerned... I'll keep you posted ;) Ted, upon viewing a few walk arounds, I concluded that this would be the easiest way to...

Early M4A1... the curvy hulled one

Forging on regardless... I have since found out that the style of rear light guard I scratched is in fact only present on the Lima production tanks of which another feature is welded hulls. This kit has a rivetted hull so I had to make a decision to change one or the other, so off went the light...

    Marder Dio

Hey Rusty Beaut work all around! The figures are very well finished, and your scratched building is super. I like the composition. My critique would be the 'floating' grip the figure's hands seem to have, but I know the limitations that can happen here ;) Brad

    More WW II photos B/W

Some nice shots there Bob! The concussion/muzzleblast from that rail gun is nothing short of amazing, and the sequence of shots on the buzzbomb getting 'nudged' by the Spitfire never fails to impress... Brad

Early M4A1... the curvy hulled one

Now some more progress... The rear tail-light guards are of an early rarer design which differ to the normal in having two return arms. Hard to see without a close-up reference shot of the part... Tried to replicate smoothed sections of the casting in addition to the pitted...

Early M4A1... the curvy hulled one

Thanks to you all for your interest... I know that is is probably far from a glamour tank, but the US forces cut their teeth on it facing superior tactics and weaponry but gradually learned tough lessons and how to use their inferior tanks to better effect. jknaus wrote: You and me both James...

Early M4A1... the curvy hulled one

Well some proof that I'm still working on something... A quick intro... This configuration is the M4A1 DV. Only approximately 270 were built with this hull design feature (The DV pertains to the hinged armoured hatches over the driver and bow gunner ports which covered a slit for direct vision...

    Petes Sturmi

Hey Petrovski Sorry to hear about the aches and pains mate. Nasty stuff. Well it seems that one of my Shermans is following your initial paintjob then ovencleaner routine... That said, a minor Mary McKillop has been had here! She looks beaut. A couple of things though... I would not have...

    British street scene

Hey Ted Looking good mate. Nice to see a mix of army and civvy... The W would stand for Warden, and worn by ARP Wardens (Air Raid Precaution) you know the ons who would get all off the streets and into the bunkers or tube tunnels... Brad :side:

HELP with PTO Sherman MG Question!

Look forward to your photos Nick! I often place my bow .30cal at an angle; gives it the feel of the BOG being in place "hands on" if you know what I mean. Brad :side:

A new Football player, Sam Bradford

Hey Joe I like the pose you have altered him to; the chin strap loose also adds to the camp mode you are trying to achieve. I assume by OB you meant QB? ;) Brad :side:

Great mate just great... Kreighshoer wrote: Laura is spot-on here! I think this will add to the drama immensely, as you can have the load shifted to the low side and some of the stowage teetering on the edge and some having landed below? andyfettes wrote: Another good suggestion! Brad :side:
