    1/48 Italeri F7F-3 Tigercat

Hi Christian, not building it at the moment but I'm eyeing it as a possible stress reliever for a couple of builds that are whipping my arse ! I don't recall ever seeing the movie you referenced but it sounds interesting. According to my reference it was not uncommon for these aircraft to...

    1/48 Italeri F7F-3 Tigercat

1/48 Italeri F7F-3 Tigercat Yes, this is an oldie but I was curious to see what if any changes Italeri had made to it, and yes this is the kit that stigmatized an entire generation of modelers on the use of rubber tires. :o History Based on the earlier Grumman XP-50 that was eventually...

PE Hates me...and I Hate PE

I consider PE to be in the same category as wall paper and neck ties, all designed by some sadist to torture men.

How I get to spend my Monday (& Sunday)

While not fun it has become old hat for me, due to a family history I get to do this every three years. Really hated it early on as the prep solution was really hard to get down. More recently my GI guy uses Miralax mixed with Crystal Lite or Gatoraid and except for the volume you need to drink...

    Airfix Hawker Sea Fury

History The Sea Fury's development was formally initiated in 1943 in response to a wartime requirement of the RAF, thus the aircraft was initially named Fury. As the Second World War drew to a close, the RAF cancelled their order for the aircraft; however, the Royal Navy saw the type as a...

Time for a new (air)brush and looking for ideas

I have no experience with the air brushes designed for larger areas, have you watched any of the Paul Budzik videos on air brushes ? His tastes tend to run to the more expensive models but there is a lot of good info there.

    The Workhorse

The General came through Columbus, Ohio on its tour and my parents took me to the train station (long since gone) to see it. I was a sophomore in high school at the time. I still have a couple black and white snap shots I took of it at the time buried in the archives somewhere !

    10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN

LOL, so something with 10 engines would work then :woohoo: Too bad I sold my B-36 kit years ago...then again maybe not ! The two kits I would consider for this build would be the 1/72 Bv 222 and the 1/48 He 177. Both have about 25" wing spans. The 222 would probably be too easy as it would be...

    10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN "SUGGESTION WITHDRAWN Didn't mean to be a wet blanket, I liked the Wellington but I want to save the remaining display space I have for other big kits, not a duplicate of that behemoth. I do have a couple large kits I have been saving for the anniversary or major...

    Pit Road 1/144 Me 323D-4

Pit Road 1/144 Me 323D-4 The Me 323 was the result of a 1940 German requirement for a large assault glider in preparation for Operation Sea Lion, the projected invasion of Great Britain. The DFS 230 light glider had already proven its worth in the Battle of Fort Eben-Emael in Belgium (the...
