I'd just like to say good job to everybody for donating as much as they did. I wish I had more time to finish up my other builds but free time is hard to come by for me right now lol.

1/1000 Polar Lights USS Saladin Destroyer

I decided to try something a bit different for this build. I'm taking the Polar Lights 1/1000 Enterprise and modifying it into a Federation Saladin class Destroyer.

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions This is what happens when I've been playing way to much World of Warships lol. These were bought over the last 6 months or so. Already bought all the goodies for the Arizona. I found the Lexington and Hornet for dirt cheap on Facebook. They both included a bunch of Gold...

Probably going to throw a bit more money into the pot. Won't be able to finish more than one more build but it goes to a good cause. :thumbsup

Thanks. It was their first show after reforming their club. Turn out was pretty good. I will try and move them to the gallery here.

Oregon Historic Modelers Fall 2016 show.

I finally had some time to get these pictures put onto my photobucket. This was my first real show that I've ever attended. I entered 5 models and walked away with three awards. One First place for my Revell Viking ship. As well as two second place ribbons for my 1/48 Tamiya Betty Bomber and...

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

I'm calling him done. To bad they don't make a 1/12 scale Jawa he could be standing on lol. Not an award winner by any means. But when you have Captain Diaper Blowout in the house what can you do :rotf

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

Most of the weapons in Star Wars seem to be based off real weapons. Han Solo's pistol is based off a Mauser Broomhandle pistol, the Jawas used a cutdown Enfield rifle on R2-D2, the stormtroopers also had a Lewis gun that was doctored up a bit too. But this guy is using a DLT-19...

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

Had some more time last night to get the basic figure completed. The decals were utter trash so I ended up using the stickers that were included with the kit as well. Now comes the fun part. Weathering him.

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

Thanks guys. This is actually a pretty fun little kit. Tempted to buy a few more of the Star Wars figure kits from Bandai. Did a bit more on lunch break today. Poor guy looks like Chewbacca got ahold of him.

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

Got a little more work done on him on my lunch break. Nice living where you work

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

Onto the basic build now. I was afraid that there would be multiple seams to hide on this guy. But Bandai hid them all on natural armor segment lines. This is as far as I got on the first day. Hard to find more than a few minutes here and there with a 5 week old in the house lol

    Bandai 1/12 Sandtrooper

This is my first foray into figure building of any kind. These kits are much like Gundam kits as far as I can tell. They would look decent straight from the box, but beg for some dirtying up.

    The wait is almost over!

Sorry for the long delay in responding. Thanks for all the replies guys. Hunter was born on December 14th in the midst of a snowstorm. He is a perfectly healthy little guy. Just been very hectic around here for the past month. But we are finally getting into a routine and he is finally sleeping...
