    Careful what you ask for...

Since I'm building the Flyhawk Bismarck for my son to have at school, I asked him if it's a good idea to display the recognition banner on deck. He wasn't sure so asked me to build it as the Tirpitz. So I here it goes: Heck of a lot easier than all that PE.

    Dial 1 700 I N S A N E. Flyhawk Bismarck.

Yeah, I didn't know what to expect. This was just messing around. I grabbed teh darkest blue I had and added some drops to straight Future and started spraying/ It seems to compliment the green of the resin well. All mistakes, but as Bob Ross used to say 'happy mistakes'. Shoot, if it wasn't...

Almost ready to cast it. Paul hooked me up with a high res piccy of the Missouri firing that really helped with the way the water behaves under the salvoes. Hard to get a good photo of the brown clay without harsh lighting, but this should give you an idea. Not sure if it'll be clear or solid...

Question for the guys down South...

Wow. I guess subs really displaced a lot of water you don't see. When I was kid there was a place that people would fish for Stripers. They'd wade out and cast. But every so often a line of Super cargoes would enter (or leave) the Harbor and the way the lanes were dredged, they'd pull a suction...
