    i think - and that is an educational guess - that the differences in the breech block layout has something to do with the fact that the Krupp-Gruson design utilized the 105 mm leichte Feldhaubitze 18/1 L/28 the Rheinmetall-Borsig design utilized the 105 mm leichte Feldhaubitze 18/40/2 L/28

    went to the LHS, asking if my ordered stuff had arrived - it didn't but in the shelves i found this beauty: although away from my usual paths of interest, i have to admit that this is my most favorite gun - i love the shape so much ... ron's entry to the great88 didn't help me at all to resist!

    no kitbash bob ... well, a little bit of progress - it doesn't look like much but it was a lot of work to get it look right - after my last update i found a detail in a pic that james has posted in roman's blog ... a detail i have never paid attention to - the cabling of the fuse setting device...
