Thanks for the kind comments fellas, 'preciate that. My, such cynicism in one so young.

Not surprisingly, the kit engine firewall is designed for the kit engine. Who'd a thunk it? It fits into a groove in the lower wing half and has a square hole where a square peg on the rear of the kit engine will fit. The Engines & Things small Pratt I'm using has no square peg, but...

I have begun work on the interior, starting with the cockpit. First, I added a slice of beverage can to the portion of the main spar that runs through the front of the cabin. Since this airplane has a wooden floor for carrying cargo - more precisely lengths of 1/4" plywood as a sub floor - I...

Fine work Uros. :thumbsup I always find that cutting away the controls adds an extra element of realism. I generally do it, but with the Beech I don't know if I will or not. The way the controls are molded onto the fixed portion of the airframe looks to make it an impossible job. Are you...

Fantastic! :thumbsup What do you use as polish for the windows? I have some stuff called Peek but try as I will I can't seem to get as clear a job as that. I had some polish from Italy, something called Weenol Plus K that worked well but can't find it anywhere any more.

Wonderful work, Uros. I hope you decide to open both sliding windows, work like that shouldn't be hidden. How about if you cut out the sliding windows, then make a new, thinner window out of some clear styrene, then cut the new window in half and attach the front part to the rear of the opening...

With judicious application of Gorilla Glue, this motley collection of junk will be transformed into water rudders. Thee rudders themselves are from scrap aluminum, the pivot pins and rudder posts are bits of blasting wire - a roll of which I've had kicking around for the last 40 years - the...

Appreciate the kind comments fellers, thank you all. Uros, what are you using to post your pictures, Photobucket? I just renewed my subscription, have been a paying member for some years, and so far there has been no disruption to the third party hosting. Knock on wood. Anyway, on to the...

Don't sell yourself short ns. I took one look at Uros' CRJ and then wanted to hide under my desk and suck my thumb.

Thanks for the kind comments fellas. I have the floats about half done, have to make and install some water rudder hardware and the mooring cleats and stuff.

Wonderful work Uros. What did you make the seat belts from? Rudder trim. Douglas didn't want you to miss it. ;)

On to the propellers, and believe it or not I got the two of them to look alike. Since I had no 3-blades that worked, I said "What the hey, I'll make two 3-blades from three 2-blades" so one of the three kits I have gave up a prop. It also meant I had no spinners. The kit supplies dome spinners...

Man, you're off to a great start. I've seen one of those in Northwest and Pan Am titles, but never BOAC. Theirs was an understated paint scheme, and I'm betting it'll look fantastic. :thumbsup

Sorry Uros, I don't have any pics, nor do I have the model. It probably didn't survive a move some years ago. That CRJ is nothing short of stunning, what a job you did on it. :thumbsup

Paul, that was the Battle Axe 1:48 kit, built by Captain Cook before he went over to the dark side and began building tractors. ;) That Battle Axe kit was no shake 'n bake. I remember telling him at the time when he said he was going to tackle it "You're a braver man than I am Gunga Cook."...
