    Sm.79 Sparviero 1/72

Hi again Of course I would not start modelling again without my very favourite airplane, the Sparviero. This is an Aerosilurante (Torpedo Bomber) Savoia-Marchetti Sm.79 Sparviero from the 278 Squadriglia, 132° Gruppo based in Gadurra (Rhodes) in 1942. Model is an Italeri 1/72 with PE from...

Thanks guys I love the Italian aircraft and camos. They are by far my favorite. And mind you, still everything paint-brushed. I have finished another Mc 202, will post some pictures today. Cheers Alex

Not exactly new, but coming back after a while

Hey Eric so nice to hear from you again. Thanks so much. All is well, it was just absolutely bonkers for the last few years. But I am back and hopefully will stay. Need to do a case now (as usual) but will try and be back later. Cheers! Alex

The Ferrari of the skies - Macchi Mc.202 in 1/72 - DONE!

Dear all, Best possibly way to get back is to start in my favourite campaign, the MMM. I will be building an Italeri 1/72 Macchi Mc.202 with lots of Eduard PE (cockpit, landing gear, Flaps) in the colours of the Regia Aeronautica during the Battle of Italy in 1943. This aircraft was flown...

Not exactly new, but coming back after a while

Hello dear friends I hope you are all well. It's been about 2 years since my last stint in here, but if you still remember me, I'd like to join the club once again. I know it was a looong pause but I simply could not keep up with modelling during the COVID waves. I thought it was unfair to not...

    Junkers Ju-87B "Picchiatello" - in 1/72 COMPLETED

Hi there. I am going to fast track this one and present the completed pictures. Again I think I have overdone the weathering. Must work on that, it looks good to the naked eye but in the pictures it is way too much. In any case another Stuka in my collection. Cheers and thanks for looking...

    Swedish Fiat CR.42 in 1/72

Hi there, A little side project I did to test the faint winter camouflage over the normal Italian one, which I am going to be using in some of the next German projects. I'd appreciate if those more experienced could comment on this cammo: too soft? Too sparse? Too thick? Thanks a lot...

Nighfighters Italian Style - Biplanes - COMPLETED

Hello everyone, Another forced break from the bench but I have completed this project (Ribbon please!). They turned out ok IMHO I particularly like the CR.32 after a very light weathering. Now on to new projects mostly with the Luftwaffe! Thanks for watching and sorry for the long delay...

Nighfighters Italian Style - Biplanes - COMPLETED

That is precisely what I have been doing Bob, I just usually wait for the construction of the model to be ready because it is a one-shot thing. Certainly I need to improve a lot on that sense. Thanks for the input. Cheers Alex

    Junkers Ju-87B "Picchiatello" - in 1/72 COMPLETED

I take care of them after the building phase is complete (or I try to), not in this phase. Next pictures will show what I have done. I do use that great suggestion of a knife instead of sanding them, but the results are incomplete. I will keep on working on that. Scout's honor. Cheers Alex

Italian Regia Aeronautica in Russia 1942

Thanks Bob and Eric. These things are so weird to build... Not as straightforward as an airplane! But in a way they are nice. Will fit the diorama well. Cheers Alex

    1/48 Tamiya Me262a1 "White 3"

My sincere condolences. I am very sorry for your loss. COVID has devastated families all over the world and will still remaining doing so until we can get all vaccinated - everyone all over. What happened to your friend is unfortunately all too familiar and for all of us working on the front...

Italian Regia Aeronautica in Russia 1942

Hello again. @Duke Maddog these trucks are really nice Mark. A bit of a pain to assemble since I am not really familiar with building AFV but I am giving it a try. This is the progress on both of them. There is a lot of retouching to be done but right now I am happy that they are staying glued...
