Now both are painted. I did darken the light gray some. Had to take a few days off from modeling in order to replace the main drive belt on the mower. What a PIA that was. Gary S.

The P-40 is all masked off and ready for the green. I decided to repaint the Yak in a little darker and a little bluer color. Plus it needed a little more sanding. Gary S.

The brown on the P-40 and the it. Gary on the Yak was painted this AM. The lt. gray maybe too light. Don't think the Russians were too picky about their colors, so I might go with it. The P-40 had an antenna mount on the upper leading edge. I found a photo etch piece that works after a "trench"...

The underside of both models were painted this AM before it got too hot in the garage. The colors are a custom mix of Testors paints. Gary S.

Both tail are on. The P-40' had some sink marks that needed filling but the fitted real well. I think I'm done with most of the sanding on both. I used a silver sharpie to check seems and to pre color panels for future chipping. Gary S.

Both wings are on. The nose on the P-40, required some crazy glue and a lot of sanding. The wings will need some filler too along with the prop spinner, but that is to be expected. The wings and fuselage on the Yak needed a little work also. Gary S.
