Ukrainian dio components...

Thanks Gary!

Nearly there...need to vary the rust tones a bit and add some more texture to parts of the groundwork. Also need to add some wood panels to the edges. Just checking in to see what folks think of the ash around the tank and in and around the tracks and road wheels.

Well-- this has really been a labor of love this summer. I am calling it done despite the fact I could probably keep going for days. My heartfelt thanks to UK photojournalist Christopher Furlong who took the original photo I found in the Osprey book "Boots on the Ground" that I used as my main reference point- I messaged him on Instagram on a whim and we have messaged back and forth a few times- he is a quality fellow who has been encouraging. Also to Chris Meddings who didn't know it, but was influencial in helping me sort out how I wanted to approach weathering this burnt out T-72 found in the forest outside of Kyiv through his past writing- most recently in MMI magazine.

I used the Lifecolor Rust and Dust set as a base- and then my own custom blends of weathering pigments sourced from Mig Pigments, Adam Wilder pigments, and some old Doc O'Brien powders I had lying around to create the rust, soot, and ash effects. The figures are from Master Box and the tank originally the Trumpeter kit that I ripped apart and put back together with some excellent Panzerwerk Design tracks.

Sorry for the photo blast but I feel like this is probably my best work ever to date and I hope I can only continue to improve from here. Cheers for following along with my this summer...
