    Me 262 X 2 FINISHED!

Thanks for the comments! I started a 1/48 scale Ar 234C a few days ago and will be putting that one in a very similar paint scheme like the Me 262A-2a has. I hope to be able to show it to you someday. Goodbye

    Me 262 X 2 FINISHED!

Here are my final two builds, both of them Tamiya 1/48 scale Me 262's. The Me 262A-1a Me 262A-2a Matrixone

    Messerschmitt Me 262 double build.

Thanks! Mike, I used RLM 71 from Model Master on the bombs, I have no idea how accurate this color choice is but I figure the color standards for bombs in the latter stages of the war were not all that important. The Me 262's had their clear flat coats sprayed on and they will sit and dry for...

    Messerschmitt Me 262 double build.

Thanks guys! Getting close to the finish line with these two, some weathering with oil paints was done and the landing gear legs and small breakable bits were added. A couple snaps of the bombs for the Me 262A-2a, just for the fun of it one was left factory fresh looking and the other was...

    BREAKING:

No in-progress pictures of the models today but the airframe of the Fw 190A-8 is now assembled, the HobbyBoss D-9 is also assembled but I have to sand down a few small areas of putty before I can start painting. Below is a color profile and a photograph of the markings the D-9 will be put in, I...

    BREAKING:

Thanks Dave! These easy assembly kits are half toy half scale model so I don't mind the lack of parts. As it is turning out the HobbyBoss kit is going to still need some filling and sanding but mostly on the bottom of the rear fuselage. The Revell kit so far has not needed any filler at all...

    Ki-46 Dinah trainer finished.

Thanks guys! This old kit was a good one to use for painting and weathering experiments and was a learning experience. Matrixone

Hasegawa 1/32 scale Fw 190D-9 speed build.

Thanks for looking! The cockpit and engine plug were detail painted and fuselage halves glued together. The engine plug will get some dirt/grime added to it using the airbrush with thick paint to add a spatter effect before I glue the wings on. Matrixone

A couple of 1/48 Tamiya F-16s in FMS colors

Mike, When I near the end of a build I sometimes get ''go fever'' and rush to finish it and that's when I tend to have accidents. :bangs head The best thing you did after the accident was to step away from it and cool down, when you return to the model it the problem won't be as bad as after it...

Hasegawa 1/32 scale Fw 190D-9 speed build.

This is such a well engineered kit a quick build is somewhat easy to do. Still not decided about which D-9 to build, I am leaning towards building this one as one of the D-9's that was captured by the Red Army at the Focke-Wulf plant at Marienburg, several of those aircraft that were finished...

    BREAKING:

Thanks guys! Tim, The HobbyBoss kit has some good points to it, the overall shape is decent and it has some delicate panel line detail that is close to scale. Also I looked at the clear parts and they are excellent, better than most kits that are much more expensive. A couple years ago I built...

Hasegawa 1/32 scale Fw 190D-9 speed build.

While I had many reference books out for the 1/72 scale Fw 190's that are being built I thought this is as good as any time to build a 1/32 scale Hasegawa D-9. Box top contents Cockpit and engine plug have been assembled and painting has started on them. The cockpit and engine plug...

    BREAKING:

The first in-progress pictures... The HobbyBoss D-9 is a mix of good and bad, the fuselage and wings are both molded as single piece parts with only some smoothing down of some light mold lines needed. The cockpit is very shallow with the seat and joystick already molded in but no I.P., in this...
