Am I right that this plane is missing the nose cone? It "would" have one, right?

Wow, thanks Paddy! Imagine if you will, an American fighter emerging from cloud cover below with guns ablaze, dragging clouds as it sweeps in from underneath. This base is from a figure I have not painted. It will be covered in cotton and the plane will be affixed to a cotton covered white...

Thanks Barney, I am hanging in there. I have made a change in flight plan mid-flight. Wheels up! So, the landing gear thing was a moot point after all. She will be flying over a cloud, maybe coming up through it. The flaps and ailerons are glued in place already so that part may not be...

That is very likely since Mike is sending the Testors rack labels for the extra military colors I ordered from the old Model Master plastic rack as well.

Oh, and I don't know if the putty is new or not. None of my dustributors carry it. It is why I had to Amazon it.

I saw it on the A4 Garage Youtube channel. He uses it a lot, and he is the best modeler I have ever seen...soooo, naturally I thought if I got some I would be magically as good as he is! The fact that I blunderingly missed the cockpit floor piece for this model shows that it did not happen darn...

Ok, FYI for anyone thinking of making this model; the kit comes with a plastic cockpit floor along with a resin floor. The instructions make no mention of this part, and honestly, it looks better than the resin part. Guess what. On the underside of the plastic part is the WHEEL WELL PART! :bash:

The surface difference was pretty big so I had to putty significantly on either side to even up the surfaces :( But, yeah, I have done the tape trick. Wish it cudda worked here!

K, so, I have coat #2 on. This putty seems to thin with lacquer thinner so I brushed it on with a #10 flat shader to smooth it and filled spots I missed the first go'round.
