I want to convert this Nashorn kit by Bandai to a Hummel. What I need to do this are some scale drawings of the gun and it's mounts. So if anyone has some it would be greatly appreciated. Gary S.

Let's start looking at the changers with the barrel clamp. Let me know where you then want to delve deeper.

As for the gun, while I have LOTS of information, the plans though are posted above, do you know who already dredged the internet for details and is incorporating them into his kit? @Heavens Eagle!

Yeah, I believe the Hummel has the 15cm howitzer. (which is huge) The Nashorn had the 88mm anti tank, anti aircraft gun which is a completely different weapon. Different size, different mount, and I am sure the shield around the gun will be different as well.
I do have a bit of photos of those in with the long barrel version, but mainly I was looking for info on the carriages. I have the 1/16th scale Nashorn kit and it is something else with that long barrel sticking out front. Unless you actually have the 15cm s FH18 gun to go with it, you are going to be fighting a steep up hill battle.

@centaur567 was able to make the Maverick II bird, this is not as hard once he has the carriage (barrel is easy)...
Well, I have videos! This is new to me as I do have a Dragon kit which doesn't really meet my subject preference but it also means that I collected a lot of print material as well (Panzer Tracts, Nuts & Bolts, you get the picture). Video walkarounds aren't really my thing but they might help!

Many thanks for all the info and pics!! The gun and mounts are going to be scratch built. So your pics are really going to help. I though of using a ball point pin as a barrell with 7.62mm bullets but they are a little large. I do have a 5.56mm/ .223 cal. bullet that might work better. It is closer to the 6mm that is needed. Anyway, it's worth a try.

If you want I can get some barrel dimensions with the breach block from my build. 1/16th is 3x bigger than 1/48th so it is easy to measure and figure down.
The thing about my build is that it seems most of the "big" stuff is pretty close. The details were just thrown on with no real thought to where it went, what it did, or how it should fit or work.
If you need more photos let me know.
Talk about an uparmored build! Looking forward to your scratch skills Gary.

Barrel and breach dimensions would be great and much appreciated.
I've been scrounging around my stuff and I think I found tubes suitable for a barrel. The 5.56mm rounds fit in the smaller tube. It needs to be cut down. Gary S.
Barrel length of the 150mm gun with 29.5 Calibers is (29.5x150mm=4425mmm) 92mm (3.63") in 48th scale. I can try to scale the breech block plans I have but I need to gather the books.

THANKS. Is that from the breech block to the end of tip of the barrel? And what is the measurement of the narrow part of the barrel and the thicker part? Gary S.
Full barrel, I will get my books and see if I can scan the plans I trust, scale them down for you and send privately (since they may be enlarged/reduces when posted here.
