I haven't started early at anything since I discharged from the Army.

Hey, you do you! It's not a big deal for me to get up early. The pups get me up a 6:45 every day if we're working or not. I can't sleep late anymore. Doing it in the middle of our (in the US time zones) day was a bad idea on my part.

I am a member of a U-Boat group on Discord which just operates around the clock with Engineers submitting dwgs and plans and ref photos while the members build a 1:1 virtual Type 7c from the ground up. They have multiple folders and topics etc. I just drop in when I feel like trauling for info. It seems to work well and operate exactly as John was describing.

Having said that I am fine with our current set-up as well and it was my own fault I missed the meeting. 8am start is really not that early for attendance by me I just stay -up late - its the night owl in me. I haven't started early at anything since I discharged from the Army. I get my creativity start very late in the day.

Yeah I get that, I am a night owl just like my mom was and my daughter takes after me as well. Drives her husband a bit nuts at times, but it is what it is.

You forgot the "I found someone that will give me MORE so bye and give me all your stuff" clause.
Nope! My late wife was pretty much a WE person. WE take care of the house, WE take turns cooking, anything she could do she insisted on doing her part. After her stroke, there were things that she could no longer do and made extra work for me having to redo what she did. She did finally settle down to a different we system, but then she was also dealing with cancer and passed away.
After that I dated for a while and came to the realization that the women were not looking for a partner and a friend, but an ATM and slave. Quit dating and have been content and at peace ever since.

Actually the roos arn't harmless........they will 'rip you a new one' with the claws on their feet if you get to close. The big ones we have here in Vic can stand 6ft tall and really do some damage.
