1/32 Seafire Mk 47?

I had a brilliant flash of inspiration or it could be one of those brain flatuses.
Take either the Revell/Matcxhbox 1/32 Spitfire Mk 22/24 or the Tamiya 1/32 Mk XVIe and mate it up with the Grey Matter Figure's Griffon nose update and the Seafire Mk XVIX Tail update and come put with a plausible Mk 47 Seafire. The big diff would be the folding wing along with the counter rotating prop. Thoughts?

:woohoo: That would take some research Paul . Do you have a source for the counter rotating prop ?

You could always just scribe in the wing folds.

That would be an interesting build.

Freightdog Models made a FR.47 conversion kit but I don't know if it is still available. Here's a review of it on HYPERSCALE from when it first came out.

I've got the kit in my stash. If a copy of the instructions would help I can scan them.

Cheers,
Rich

Sounds like way too much work to me. ...and then someone will announce a new model kit of it right after you finish it. :bang head

What does me not having hair got to do with it?

Anyway, I have too much on my plate right now but it sure would be a really neat build
