Hi chaps, just passing through. not even looked at a model for a year or so now but still keen :) I was delivering some stuff quite local today and spotted these in a yard. I dont have a clue what they are but i bet you lot do :) the tank is complete and parked behind a complete green chassis so those wheels do not belong to it. I only had my phone with me so not very good pictures.

Next time i am passing i will get some better pictures, there was other stuff there as well

Cheers and keep glueing

Thanks Paddy,
cool.
First shot - yellow half track = 251D or a post -war 0T18. Cant tell without seeing whether the fighting compartment is open under the tarp.

Third photo has a Stug 3 G but it's a mock-up on what could be a chaffee chassis - upper structure is very well done but the rear deck is a bit strange, also the front lower plate is too big and at the wrong angle with the wrong bolt style and the front drive wheel is too far back.
Might be a prop supplier for a movie studio ?

Ian.

Hi Ian
The wheels you see are on a complete chassis in front of the sand colour tank, not part of it. ~Its just the angle of the picture and a crap phone :)

First, thank you Paddy for thinking of us!

Second, Ian is correct in that they are post war. The halftrack is a Czech OT-810. The hinges at the bottom of the nose are the give away clue.

The StuG is a mock up on an FV432 chassis (which also happens to be the green chassis in front of it so they be making another).

Regards,

Nice detective work there, Saul !

Movie props I guess. It seems like there are a few WWII films in production, or post production these days. Lots of filming in the U.K.

Thanks for sharing Paddy.

Cheers,

Bill

Pretty sweet, Paddy- cheers! I must say, however, that we do still consider "you" to be a swell part of "us." :drinks

Well i did a little research and it seems the vintage vehicle groups in the South of England of which there are many, all club together and run this joint workshop for maintenance purposes.
Good idea really so you can join a club, buy yourself a tank and you don't need your own maintenance facility. Odd that i have lived 10 miles from this place for 52 years and never even knew it was there....I will return with a proper camera soon :)
Cheers for your kind words. Hopefully my model making block will clear soon and i will start something new. The truth is i miss building but my new business is 24/7 !! I have created a monster :)

Well it's good to be busy aint' it Paddy?

Thanks for stoppin' in with us and please do get some more pictures, I bet before it's over you're going you're going to be the owner of a fine used piece of armor..:soldier
