Really love this kind of stuff! I only wish I could read the stuff on the bulletin board and the letter behind the counter....I can only make out the first line ;). Great attention to detail...wish I could go back to the LHS of my youth...

I have actually seen that model in person. The builder brought it to our IPMS Nationals in Anaheim in 2007. I couldn't stop looking at it. It was one truly amazing little model. It did take a couple major awards, as well as a People's Choice.
 
Yes that is a great dio,really brings back memories.Dicks Hobbyland in Cranford,Dana's in Bloomfield,a great shop in Guttenberg,another in Jersey City.So many shops in the day.now all gone.

FYI,this dio appeared in FSM magazine maybe 10years ago,thanks for bringing it up again
