THAT PANZER IV...JUST FINISHED!...

Re: THAT PANZER IV...TRITONAL and a HELP!!!!

Hi Luiz,

First of all, great job on the Pz IV, really love it.

As for the color scheme I wouldn't worry right away. In my humble opinion it's just enough to lighten the dark yellow

in between the camo stripes a little bit with some white added to the base color ( best spraypaint it ).

Just stay away from the green and brown. If you like to you can correct the croma when you are weathering the colors by hand

painting them with very diluted vallejo paint, you can actually use different shades of brown or green doing so alter the

hue a little bit to give it a realistic appearance.

Maybe the example of the flak explains better what I mean

This pics shows the thing in the basic painting scheme. You notice that the dark yellow, which looks a little sandy, is just a

little bit lightened in between the green stripes and there is not much definition on the green camo. You can notice it very well

on the gun shield

Concentrate on the shield.

By brush painting the "sandy yellow" with very diluted Vallejo shades of yellow ( you're a great painter so just choose

whichever shade of yellow you want), the color turns out to be quite acceptable. Same thing is done to the green stripes, but

then of course using greenish tints.

Hope you don't mind referring to my own work, but I think it explains better what I mean.

Just go for it, Luiz! Like I said: the Pz IV looks great, not to mention your static lay out !

;)

PS : Please send over some of your good weather we can use it over here ! Thanks !

Re: THAT PANZER IV...SCHÜRTZEN..Feb./23rd.

Hi Luiz,

Very nice paint job and chipping on the Schurzen, got to love it !

Didn't know the Vallejo chipping-thing but the result is very effective and convincing.

Is it easy to work with ?

;)
