Alclad is sprayed:

I had a boo-boo on the left wing. I sanded it down and re-sprayed but it still shows up. I'll samd it again tomorrow when I spray various panels a different color.

The majority of the painting is done:

I'll finishing up the prop and landing gear as well as various fiddly bits over the next day or two

Very nice. That red really brings the various metal shades into sharp focus. A really attractive scheme.

Thanks, James. I did it overall in Alclad duraluminum then masked off a few panels and did them in dark aluminum. After that, I shaded various panels with a bit of the dark aluminum here and there.

The color call out was for Tamiya Bright Red but I went with MM Guards Red.

I felt myself faltering so I watched Red Tails again last night. That did the trick.

That is look really good Firesmacker. I can see myself investing in some Alclad for my next NMF P-51. Love the red too.
The movie hasn't come out here yet - hope it does soon.

I forget to paint part of the tail so I'll fix that tomorrow.
