Mels Humvee

Sorry little Mel, But the only little men I know of are lumberjacks, and I don't let them out anymore after they cut down my dining room table

But we need more pictures please. And how was the pielatypus that you and Jenny went to for training?

and it does not surprise me if John and Gary were all in on the surprise.

Don't look at me, I had nothing to do with it. Although I am curious cos I thought I saw some Verlinden figures, on I think Firestorm's website, that are for the Humvee in 1:72.... and now they're gone.... So I'm wondering if they are the ones? (3 figures, two seated and one standing)

That is the ones John ;) and that is why they are gone too ;) , no foolin you  ! But they are Warriors Humvee crew http://www.squadron.com/ItemDetails.asp?item=WA72010
I noticed they dissapeared after I ordered them as I wanted to show Laura and went to link them and they were gone ;) I was going to get the legend set but it did not have many goodies really.

The figures are sculpted by my good friend Bill Chilstrom too :D

Probably because you are all behind us ( timewise ;) ) , it has lots of placename puns .... but it is really funny if you is an Aussie :)

Well I forgot to put the stickers on

Anyway I am mighty proud and am off to put it in the showcase with Jennys now. Thanks Jenny for taking photos for me and Richo for his help, even thought he was not here to remind me of the stickers.

excellent work mel! you surely can be proud of this!

the figure is splendid!

and you still got time to apply the decals with either the voodoo method or with flatcoating afterwards!

in any case: bravo! kudos!

mighty fine looking. It certainly is much better than my first attempts at plastic modeling. Beaten by a girl again!

Regards,

Congratulations Mel! The truck looks realistic. Have to admire someone who paints a 1/72 scale figure to go along with their first model.

I'm thoroughly impressed Mel. Even the figure turned out really well. I'm always glad to see another person bitten by the HMMWV bug.

Matt :)

Hiya Mel.

That is a great looking Hummvee. And it is even weathered (y) . And the figure is great. Especially considering the scale and all :notworthy . And I am almost in the same situation as Saul. I am not going to get my Graff Spee done on time. But then again, if it is done right, I like getting beat by girls  errrr  ummm :pinch: or something like that :S
