Thank you very much...Ruben and Chuck...for the motivating words...I like it so much!
...in this update I´ll deal with the camo smock...it was not easy...a difficult pattern was choice for my warrior...
...as reference, I used the excelent book from Daniel Peterson..."WAFFEN-SS CAMOUFLAGE UNIFORMS & POST WAR DERIVATIVES"...let´s go to the job...,
...according Daniel:
..."This is one of the best know yet enigmatic of the camouflage patterns used by the Waffen-SS..."
..."...these smocks were probably not made after 1942..."
..."the striped effects in some areas of the pattern is the probable origin of early smocks being nicknamed "tiger shirts" by the troops"...
...the painting process...with Vallejo acrylics...
...now, a coat of light brown acrylic filter applied over the smock ...
...and the smock is just ready...observe the "summer side" in the middle of the torso smock...
...the next step :
...painting the webbing , the tunic and the trousers...see you there...

Hi all!
...now,dealing with the webbing...to simulate the leather texture I used oils...look how I usually do this...
...acrylic base...
...first oil coat (heavy)...
...removing the excess...
...the shadows and highlights,prior the blending step...
...blending process...
...the leather effect was achived...missing some details that will be showed on my next update...

...folowing with the job on the webbing...now the painting job on the gas mask canister sling...not leather...I used the blending technique with the acrylics,now...look the sequence...
...hope you like...the next step : the tunic and the trousers...
