    A pair of hawks...

Thats some good stuff! It's cool to see a lineage like that in aircraft and how the design on one affected the other. Have you thought about maybe doing a Wildcat and Hellcat to go along with these two killer builds?

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

It was a VF-142 bird, and that was the first thing I thought of when I dropped it. Maybe some day I'll make a diorama of that. Like this one!

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

After taking a break from my Tomcat for a few days and reading all of these encouraging words to fix it, I decided to go ahead and tough it out. I'm using a mix of bondo and gel super glue to get back to "flying status". Thanks guys!

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Well, that 1/48 Tomcat I was working on went into a flat spin, i.e. I dropped it, and the nose broke off. I know I can fix it but I'm just as easily tempted to trash it. :bangs head

"Leave that snake alone and let's go!" Vietnam dio

Congratulations on the award. It is well deserved! I love how you really captured the look of "annoyance" on some of the soldiers faces.

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

I really love the diversity of this site! In these last two pages of this thread alone you see some crazy awesome trench digging tank, a killer rail car being made of wood and a really cool Viper which it different from the F-16 Vipers I'm used to.

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

I like to refere to my workbench as The Iron Works since I usually have at least one Grumman subject being built at any one time. But as of now I have 3 Grumman aircraft going. A 1/48 OV-1D Mohawk, 1/48 F-14D and a 1/72 F-14B.

    Revell Viking ship

Whoa! This looks awesome! On a scale of 1-10 how difficult was this kit? It seems fairly straight forward but sometimes those kits are the trickiest.

So what kind of modeler are you?

This is a pretty cool thread. I've been building models since I was 5 years old. A friend of the family gave me a Monogram snap-tite Space Shuttle kit for my birthday that my dad tried to help me build. He sat at the table for 5 minutes before he got frustrated and gave up. That's when I...

    1/48 OV-1D Mohawk

Thanks guys. For some reason I didnt take any WIP pics until yesterday so that's all I have right now. But don't worry, I still have 3 more to build so I'll post plenty of photos for those. Thanks again for all the kind words. Cheers

    1/48 OV-1D Mohawk

The owner of my local hobby shop used to fly the Mohawk and commissioned me to build all 4 models, A- D, of the OV-1. The only aftermarket I'm using it the Cobra Company cockpit which, is a huge improvement compared the kits offering. Even though the kit somewhat supplies decals for the walkways...
