Yippee NOT!!!

Wow, I can't live where you do... I already have my seasonal depression kicking in (sick day today) thanks to leaving in the dark, getting home in the dark, lots to do (like raking) and then too tired and depressed to go to the bench. At least, there will be book reviews coming.

Regards,

Our trees are still green, though should be changing any time now. Been in the upper 60's today and yesterday though the lows are in the 40's. It snows here and everyone shuts down and stays home.

Out here in So Cal, it is 78 and sunny with lows in the fifties. No snow. Then again, it only falls on the mountains here, it never gets down to where I am.

Saul, I completely feel you on depression. Been fighting my own battle with that myself. I remember a time long time ago when I worked managing restaurants. One year I never saw the sun. I left before sunrise and came home after sunset. What a year!

Winter…..it sucks *ss and swallows. Although, I guess that’s just my opinion. Last year I was fine, I made it through the first lockdown although being unemployed and I dug into my stash like a man on a mission! I also learned to cook large meals, bake, do drywall muddying and taping. This year I’m working (2 jobs now) and my SADS is already in forward gear and shifting into 3rd and gaining power daily….hopefully I don’t go off the track sideways.
A couple of years ago (Saskatoon) where I live was the coldest place on earth (even colder than Mars we were told!) not the kind of records a guy who hates winter likes setting…sorry for the rant.
off my soap box now and back into the hobby room…or go shovel some more of that white sh*t.

Yeah I tend to get the down lows in late January through March. I started getting that after my divorce from the first POS wife. It started getting better after I got married the second time, but with her passing it just kind of stayed put. This year for some reason it kind of went away. Right now I am in the middle of redoing the whole house and trying to weed out all the crap I have hauled with me over the years. As I lighten my "stuff" load it also seems to be lightening my attitude.
I have always been a little bit of a pack rat, and am really trying to go past that. I do have a fair amount of "that is still very useful and I can use it" items, but am making big bags of items to send to Goodwill. Having less clutter is helping a fair bit. Also my house situation is working out. Looks like I can afford things and the boss has come off the ridiculous appraisal a bit. Still overpriced, but doable. Now to find a reasonable mortgage rate.
