WOW Cool news for Canada

The paper is saying that tomorrow the Canadian Forces Navy Branch, Air Force and Army are being renamed. I guess as of tomorrow they will again be the Royal Canadian Air Force, Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Army. Too cool.

Maybe a typo-- but is there a reason the Army isn't Royal?

News didnt say, but RCA is Royal Canadian Artillery so maybe thats why. Come to think of it I've never heard it coined Royal Canadian Army. Just Canadian Army and then the Royal units in it. RCR, RCHA, etc.

The Army doesnt come under the heading of Royal in the UK either.

When I was in the Koninklijke Landmacht[Royal Dutch Army],
I found out,there was NOTHING royal about it in basic training!
