Does anyone here have any idea why the Amazon.ca prices for any AFV Club kit are so darn high?

Examples:

Amazon has shifted to an eBay type of exchange. You can sell stuff and have them ship it, you can ship it, or a whole host of options in between.

I never judge kit prices on it since I've seen, no joke, a $15 kit with $600 price tag. For some reason Tamiya kits have a big markup from Japan, but Fujima comes in for the best prices anywhere. Real dogs like their old Pz II with an above $100 tag. Doesn't make sense, but eBay never did either...
 
Because the vendor sets it that high hoping grandma buys jr a kit for birthday? Just guessin' but praying on ignorance is what comes to mind.
