I suspect it's pretty accurate. I don't pay much attention to the stats. Hard enough for me to keep up with life right now.
How do we get them to register? Just keep posting quality build!
I could set it to where only registered members can view images but when I run up on sites like that I generally don't register or even return.

I dont know Bob, do you want more members i suppose is the first question ? There is a banner that says the gallery is now open on the head of the forums page. that could read "Welcome visitors" thanks for stopping by . Have a look round our site and see what we do, Why not join us by clicking here ?
You dont have to be prolific builder, you can be a complete beginner, we welcome questions and you will soon feel at home and what's more its free.
Or something along those line ? maybe try it for 10 days and see if anything happens ?

Good idea Paddy, I had forgotten about the banner. Out of sight, out of mind. I'll whip up something this week or if you'd like to suggest something, have at it.

This is going to sound a bit silly but i was away from modelling for some years and only came back about 6 months ago.. I joined Britmodeller and lasted about 10 days like a lot of people before i was basically pushed out by a hardcore of members who are all mates and dont like the new guys.
I know i thought, i will go back to modellers alliance, trouble is i couldn't remember what it was called
It was several days of searching before i found you lot again, i tried dozens of searches from US modelling forum to searching for my own builds from years ago.
The point is this site doesnt pop up on searches, at least it didn't for me.
One way round this is to use modellers alliance in naming pictures or folders so for example if you currently name your batch finished pictures say
"BF109 finished" in future name them " BF109 build finished modellers alliance" and the search engines will pick up on that over time and searches for BF109 will put MA up near the top.
I'm sure there are lots of other ways to get noticed. its not my thing but this worked exceptionally well for my own website.

That's a tough one Paddy. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) should work pretty well here but not remembering the name of the forum and searching for it could be a needle in a haystack. What terms were you using?

What do you want ? Do you want me to write the text ? or think of an idea ? like your wartime uncle Sam needs you poster ?
I dont do graphic but a Modellers alliance needs you poster in that style might work. Its really a case of getting a join here button under the visitors noses ?

Yeah give me some text to put in there please. 
My approach I has been more from the social media stand point (sort of). I'm not a fan of Facebook but I realized that a lot...and I mean A LOT of models use it. So I've started hitting more FB site often on a select few pages, testing the water as it were. I've been posting the videos there and on the title I've included the phrase "A Modeler's Alliance Production" Hoping to draw more people to the site. Now that's a bit risky as it can attract trolls. But if we want to get more people to the site we need to attack on this front...as much as I'm not a huge fan.

I think any link has to be very simple because people get fed up with things very quickly and have very short attention spans
Just a thought before you go down the banner route, but could the developer arrange for the "register" page/form to "pop up" after 30 seconds when a non registered visitor is on site ?
I notice the register page is not available to members anyway so its already only available to people not logged in. ? If it popped up and could be dismissed that would at lest force a desision, sign on or dismiss ?

Love that you've kicked off this conversation Paddy. Thanks. Let's get that banner changed, gallery has been open for a while so it's not really news anymore.

Just remember to put a link to the Gallery when you remove it from the banner. I use the banner link all the time when I go to upload pics to my galleries.

As far as being a visitor here in this forum,I googled Meng Merkava reviews and got sent here,that's how I rediscovered this forum.I suspect a lot of those visitors get directed here also.
