USMC Equipment help

Hi all,

First of all I am no expect in such things of the ETO WW2 nor US marines, but my questions are about the positioning of equipment on webbing and ammo belts.

So here goes, I recently got the Michael Roberts, Paul Ison figure, Okinawa 1945 for the USMC group build.

In the instructions it states,..

" attach canteen cover to spot inder belt on figure right hip "

" attach first aid pouch first last magazine pouch on figures left hip " ( confusing eh )

Now were the siting on these items usually on the third BAR ammo pouch or doesnt it matter which pouch they were sited on?

Your help much appreciated with these questions especially if youve already done the figure before
